Octavia's Girl Scout Journey: Savannah 1916

An historical novel provides a view on how people in other times and places lived and interacted. What was it like to be a young girl growing up in Savannah in 1916? Octavia is a twelve-year-old girl coming of age as America prepares to enter World War I. With her open personality and acceptance of all people, she brings together girls from different racial groups and economic classes in an exciting adventure story.
